Student Research Assistant

Interests: chronic kidney disease, hypertension management, patient-centered outcomes

Simran Singh is an undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying Global Health with minors in Spanish for the Medical Professions and Chemistry. She is a research assistant at the UNC Kidney Center, working with Dr. Flythe’s research team to provide administrative support for dialysis research studies. She currently provides data support for an NIH-funded phase II diuretic medication dose escalation clinical trial. The study investigates the safety and efficacy of furosemide in the dialysis population with the goal of increasing urine output. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, swimming, and dancing with UNC’s Bhangra Elite dance team.
