Talina Perez is a Clinical Research Assistant at the UNC Kidney Center, where she supports studies aimed at improving clinical and patient reported outcomes for individuals living with kidney disease. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Appalachian State University and a Master of Arts in Bioethics from Ohio State University. Her academic work centered on research ethics and their intersection with healthcare inequities; a focus that continues to shape her professional goals. Talina brings experience in ethics, project management, and clinical coordination, and is committed to advancing equitable healthcare practices, particularly within marginalized communities. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with her dog, and traveling to new places.
