About

Alex is a Clinical Research Assistant at the UNC Kidney Center. She has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Microbiology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogota, Colombia) and a Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She has pre-clinical research experience in animal models and after working for a pharmaceutical company for many years, she was looking for a more rewarding career and decided to pursue clinical research. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and trying new food and restaurants in the area.
