Breanna van Heerden is a Research Assistant in the Flythe research program at the UNC Kidney Center. She earned her Master of Public Health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, concentrating in health equity and social justice. Her previous work centered on translating complex data into meaningful, community-informed insights that support equitable health outcomes. She is passionate about amplifying the human stories within data and ensuring research reflects the lived experiences of the communities it aims to serve. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, reading, and spending time outdoors.
