About
Daisy Sowah, MBChB, MPH, is a Project Manager in the Flythe Research Program at the UNC Kidney Center. She earned her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry and her Master of Public Health (MPH) from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, where she concentrated in Leadership in Practice.
Before joining the UNC Kidney Center, Daisy worked in pediatric anesthesiology clinical research at UNC, where her projects focused on improving perioperative communication, patient-centered care, and healthcare quality. She is passionate about advancing research that improves the lives of patients with kidney disease through high-quality research and evidence-based interventions. Her interests also include implementation science, stakeholder engagement, and strengthening the intersection of public health and clinical medicine.
Outside of work, Daisy enjoys reading, painting, traveling, hosting family and friends, and relaxing with popcorn and a good movie
