Smith Doss and Claude Monnier

Dr. Ron Falk sits down with Smith Doss and Claude Monnier, two incredible individuals who support the Raven Rock Ramble in a number of ways, as corporate-level sponsors, volunteers, and participants. The Raven Rock Ramble, which is organized by David Cole, is a 100-mile bike ride which promotes awareness of organ donation issues, and benefits the UNC Kidney Center. The 15th Raven Rock Ramble is on Sunday, May 1, 2016. Dr. Ron Falk interviews Smith and Claude about their love for biking, their adventures on a tandem bike, and why they choose to support this event.

“When David started the ride, we looked at each other and said…Here we can help someone, who’s alive, helping people who are afflicted with the same condition…Why don’t we both volunteer and sponsor, because we care and it’s going to be good for the community.”
– Claude Monnier

More about the Raven Rock Ramble

The Raven Rock Ramble is a century (100-mile) bicycle ride that explores the four-county area (Wake, Harnett, Lee, and Chatham) around Raven Rock State Park. Proceeds from the event benefit the UNC Kidney Center for direct patient services. Since its start in 2002, the Raven Rock Ramble has raised over $198,000 toward kidney health and awareness.

This year’s registration has sold out, but there are many opportunities to volunteer your time or to give a donation.
