UNC Nephrology was recently designated as an Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) Center of Excellence (COE) by the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation. This was accomplished through the incredible work of Dr. Emily Chang and team. The COE designation is a 3-year term and brings with it national recognition, professional education opportunities, and peer networking resources. Patient navigator services are a potential future addition as well. Dr. Chang will serve as the COE Director, and Drs. Zeitler, Hladik, Mottl, Reynolds, Kastner and Murphy are named as ADPKD-experienced nephrologists.
