The UNC Kidney Center welcomes Dr. Roger Lamanna to the Division of Nephrology. Dr. Lamanna will provide nephrology consultive services and dialysis care through the UNC Kidney Center’s Sanford satellite facility and will act as bridge between the University and the local medical community.

Roger Lamanna, MD is pleased to be joining the Nephrology Division at the UNC School of Medicine, Department of Medicine. After receiving his undergraduate degree at Cornell University and medical education at the Medical College of Virginia he has been in the Triangle area since 1974. After completing both his Medical Residency and Nephrology Fellowship at UNC he has been in the private practice of nephrology in Wilson, NC and Chapel Hill. His duties with the Division will primarily involve providing nephrology consultative services and dialysis care through the UNC Kidney Center’s Sanford satellite facility and to act as bridge between the University and the local medical community.

Dr. Lamanna’s wife Beth is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UNC –CH School of Nursing. Their three children are pursuing their careers on the East and West coasts. In his spare time he has become an active member of the local art community in metal work by combining welding and blacksmithing techniques. He has exhibited at juried shows throughout the Triangle and will have two benches on display at the NC Botanical Garden Sculpture Show in Chapel Hill this October and November.
